PHOENIX — Bickley & Marotta will move from midday to 6-10 a.m. in the mornings, replacing the long-running Doug & Wolf show on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station. Ron Wolfley will move to middays with a new show, Bonneville Phoenix announced Friday.
“I cannot say thank you enough to both Doug Franz and Ron Wolfley, who along with being great broadcasters, are both first-class people that have made tremendous contributions to the Arizona Sports brand and our community,” said Scott Sutherland, SVP/market manager for Bonneville Phoenix.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta will take over the 6-10 a.m. slot. Bickley & Marotta has aired multiple years in the midday slot.
Wolfley, who is also the Arizona Cardinals radio broadcast analyst, will move to 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., where he will be joined by Luke Lapinski for the Wolf & Luke show. Doug Franz will become a digital contributor on ArizonaSports.com.
Burns & Gambo will remain in the show’s current afternoon slot, airing from 2-6 p.m.
“Doug & Wolf had the longest, most successful run in Valley sports radio history and we are so appreciative of all of their great efforts over the years,” said Bonneville Phoenix vice president of programming Ryan Hatch. “But now is the time to bring a new energy to mornings with an ensemble cast that will jumpstart each day with strong opinions and plenty of laughs.”
In a joint statement, Bickley & Marotta stated: “We are so pumped up to start the Valley sports conversation every morning on one of the biggest sports brands in the country. This is going to be a blast.”
