Arizona Cardinals sign Hagan and Hill to practice squad; release Ledbetter – Arizona Sports

The Arizona Cardinals signed safety Javon Hagan and cornerback Lavert Hill to the team’s practice squad on Tuesday. To make room for those new additions, defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter was released from the team.

Hagan spent the 2020 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as part of the team’s practice squad. Tampa Bay originally signed him as an undrafted free agent from Ohio.

Tampa Bay elevated him to the active roster for both the divisional round and the NFC Championship Game. He did not record any stats in either game.

Hill, an undrafted free agent from Michigan, spent last year on the practice squads of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Hill spent part of the preseason this year with the Eagles. He was waived by Philadelphia on Aug. 22.

Ledbetter came to Arizona’s practice squad on Sept. 3 after playing in three games with Tampa Bay in 2020.

He only played in 10 defensive snaps for Arizona on Oct. 17 against the Cleveland Browns. He was activated that day because of a positive COVID-19 test from defensive lineman Corey Peters.
