Another accolade for Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul, one of the greatest to ever do it.

In the same week that the 16-year veteran was named to the NBA’s top 75 players over the league’s 75 years, he became one of one on Friday night in a 115-105 win over the Lakers in Los Angeles.

Paul scored all 11 of his points from the first half in the second quarter, when he created the club.

Paul is less than 100 points away from becoming top-50 on the all-time leaderboard for points scored across an NBA career. Antawn Jamison sits at No. 50 with 20,042.

On the assist charts, that’s where Paul stands out and has a real chance to climb. He entered the night with 10,285 in fifth on the list and only 51 assists shy of Mark Jackson in fourth and 52 assists away from Suns great Steve Nash in third.

Perhaps Paul can catch Jason Kidd in second with 12,091 but he would have to play for a whole lot longer to reach John Stockton’s incredible mark of 15,806.

Paul had 10 assists in the first half, giving him a double-double already through two quarters.

The Point God finished with 23 points, five rebounds and 14 assists.
