The legislation — titled “Parental Rights in Education” (HB 1557) — now heads to Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has suggested he will sign it into law. If so, it goes into effect July 1.
The 22-17 vote came after weeks of national attention over the measure, which has grabbed the attention of international newspapers, Hollywood actors and the White House.

By and by, we all, especially the growing ones-age-and-language-wise-would get so misled thereby at the risk of becoming agents of further confusion in the circles of English-speaking-and-writing countries. And that is our concern here; for the English language did not start recently in our little corner and, more importantly, how we speak and write English will not end there.
