With the Arizona Cardinals’ preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys being broadcasted on the NFL Network, that allowed a national audience to watch along with Cardinals fans viewing the local broadcast on NBC.
Dave Pasch is someone you would assume everyone is familiar with, as the Cardinals’ radio play-by-play voice does work for ESPN in the NBA and other sports. But some viewers were introduced to Arizona Sports’ own Ron Wolfley, co-host of Arizona Sports’ Doug & Wolf’ and color commentator of the Cardinals’ radio broadcast.
Those familiar with Wolfley but not in a local area to hear him often were pleased to have Wolfley on the broadcast.

Ron Wolfley just sounds like football.

I forgot how awesome Ron Wolfley is to listen to on Cardinals’ broadcasts

Those unfamiliar seemed to be enjoying themselves, as they should.
The majority of them compared Wolf to professional wrestlers from the 1980s, which, fair.
Anybody know who the analyst is calling Cowboys-Cardinals on NFL Network? Dude has the deepest voice I’ve ever heard from a sports broadcaster.

Analyst doing Cardinals game sounds like Hulk Hogan. Who’s with me?

Annual tweet about how my favorite thing in pre-season is the Cardinals color guy sounding like Jesse the body Ventura. pic.twitter.com/yrBwGMhoI6

I don’t know who is doing color for Cowboys-Cardinals but he sounds like Jesse Ventura.
Waiting for him to yell “Mean Gene!” and run for office.— K.J. Pilcher (@kjpilcher) August 14, 2021
I never want to know what this cardinals color commentator guy looks like. My expectations based on the voice are unrealistic and I know I would be let down.

With this Arizona Cardinals announcer you can experience professional wrestling and football simultaneously

This Cardinals color commentator is low-key stealing the show for me. I am thoroughly entertained. #DALvsAZ
