Jackson County Public Health and the hospital systems continue to encourage the community to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and provide relief to the hospital system and to the public health system. The best way to stop the spread of the Delta variant is to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear masks.

All three COVID-19 vaccines in the United States prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death, and are effective against the Delta variant. High vaccination coverage will reduce the spread of the virus in Jackson County and elsewhere, protect our healthcare and public health infrastructure, and help prevent new variants from emerging.

Masks, face coverings, or face shields are required in all indoor spaces. Read the full Oregon Administrative Rule.

Testing remains an essential strategy in this pandemic, and the demand for testing has increased in Jackson County. It is important not to go to the Emergency Department just for COVID-19 testing. If you have a medical emergency, it remains critical that you access emergency care when needed.
